Data protection - Max Schrems - Irish Data Protection Commissioner - litigation on the validity of the EU-US Safe Harbor agreement (EU)

An Irish High Court has sent a reference for a preliminary ruling to the Court of Justice of the EU, asking whether EU data protection law, and the Safe Harbor agreement, need to be reinterpreted following the entry into force of the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights. The case involves a dispute between Austrian citizen Max Schrems and social network Facebook.
