‘Competitiveness compass’ is EU executive’s first initiative, Von der Leyen says

She said the compass will be built of three pillars of the Mario Draghi report, and guide the work for the next five years. "The first is closing the innovation gap with the US and China. The second is a joint plan for decarbonization and competitiveness. And the third is increasing security and reducing dependencies," Von der Leyen told the parliament....
