Denmark drafts new EU financial data access amendments

( September 3, 2025, 08:05 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Denmark, which is chairing policy negotiations on behalf of EU countries until December, has drafted new amendments to FiDA — the EU's Financial Data Access legal texts — according to a document obtained by MLex. The proposed changes in the document, dated Aug. 28, aim to “reduce administrative and market costs while maintaining robust protections.” “The note addresses the consensus among [EU countries] to exclude certain entities from the scope of FiDA. Among these are credit ratings agencies and large corporates,” the text reads. Financial services experts from EU countries will discuss the note in Brussels tomorrow. Negotiations between the Council, representing EU countries, and the European Parliament are due to resume this month.See attached note obtained by MLex....
