Future EU fund should support important transnational projects, say four countries

( March 10, 2025, 15:16 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Competitiveness Fund that the EU Commission is planning as part of the next multi-annual budget should be able to co-fund the Important Projects of Common European Interest, or IPCEIs, according to a written proposal by four member states — Portugal, Spain, Slovakia and Slovenia. IPCEIs refer to transnational projects tackling strategic European needs, and thus are allowed to get public subsidies.
