The move doesn't need competition approval, has been welcomed by the Greek finance ministry, and will likely please EU-level and national supporters of market infrastructure consolidation ... but will the local companies and banks owning half of the Greek exchange agree to see it integrated into a pan-European structure?Cross-border consolidation in the banking sector is notoriously difficult to achieve, even within the EU's "single market."...
