Australian competition watchdog CEO Scott Gregson set to leave

( January 16, 2025, 03:10 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The chief executive officer of Australia's competition regulator is set to depart and join the financial regulator in a senior leadership position. In an announcement today, the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission confirmed that CEO Scott Gregson will depart the agency to assume the role of chief executive officer at the Australian Securities and Investments Commission in March 2025. The announcement said that Gregson, who joined the agency in 1996, served as executive general manager of the merger and authorization review division before his appointment as CEO in August 2020.
