Tricolor execs accused by US SEC of engaging in fraud ahead of company's collapse

( August 18, 2026, 20:26 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Daniel Chu, Jerome Kollar, and Ameryn Seibold, the former CEO, CFO, and Senior Director of Finance, respectively, of Tricolor Holdings, face claims from the US Securities and Exchange Commission for engaging in a scheme to defraud investors by double pledging hundreds of millions of dollars of subprime auto loans to multiple asset-backed securities offerings and lenders. According to the complaint, Tricolor raised more than $1.9 billion through ABS offerings while the individuals made numerous false and misleading representations to investors about the lender’s overall financial health between 2020 through Tricolor’s bankruptcy in 2025.Statement follows in full.
