Aviva-owned U K Insurance fined £10.6m by prudential regulator

( March 11, 2026, 10:37 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Aviva unit U K Insurance Limited, or UKI Limited, has been fined £10,625,000 by the UK's prudential regulator over a miscalculation of their Solvency II balance sheet during 2023 and 2024. UKI Limited, is a subsidiary and principal underwriter of Direct Line Group. The Prudential Regulation Authority said the miscalculation arose due to ineffective preventative and detective controls and resourcing issues and went undetected for a significant period of time.Statement is attached....
