TD says no discrimination claim in US wrongful termination suit, moves to dismiss

( February 10, 2026, 00:11 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: TD Bank asked a US judge to dismiss a lawsuit from five US employees who say they were wrongfully terminated and targeted because of their ethnicity due to crimes committed by Chinese people they don't know. The employees are attempting to evade responsibility for their own misconduct, the bank said. "Anti-discrimination laws do not shield employees from discipline for violating clear workplace rules, nor do they permit plaintiffs to transform lawful policy enforcement into actionable bias by invoking 'cultural' explanations," the motion said.See attached documents....
