EY under investigation by UK watchdog over unauthorized audit reports

( December 10, 2025, 10:42 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Ernst & Young and two individuals are being investigated over the issuance of unauthorized auditor’s reports to audited entities, the UK audit watchdog said on Wednesday. The Financial Reporting Council said its decision to mount a probe was made in July at a meeting of its conduct committee. The FRC has not disclosed the audited companies. It said EY had said it had informed the relevant audited entities and taken remedial steps.Statement follows....
