UK central counterparties could withstand member defaults in severe stress, BOE finds

( December 9, 2025, 10:09 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A Bank of England’s 2025 stress test found that all three UK central counterparties — ICE Clear Europe, LCH and LME Clear — held sufficient pre-funded financial resources to withstand the simultaneous default of their two largest members under a severe but plausible market shock.
