EU countries to amplify pressure for finance services simplification

The call follows a similar request from heads of state and government in October, while offering more detail on the principles that should guide the simplification drive in finance and outlining what the commission should do.While the European Commission is ready to take on EU countries in a power struggle over better integration of Europe's capital markets, EU governments are increasing pressure on the bloc’s executive arm to simplify EU financial services regulations....
