Most UK firms are now preparing for T+1 transition, survey finds

( November 25, 2025, 09:01 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A UK survey, published Tuesday, has found that 95 percent of financial firms are now preparing for the transition to a one-day trade settlement cycle, or T+1. A similar survey earlier this year found that only 62 percent of firms were actively preparing for the move. The survey, carried out by research company The ValueExchange and led by the UK Accelerated Settlement Taskforce also revealed that implementing T+1 in the UK will cost less than $1 million for the majority of firms. The UK will transition to T+1 on Oct. 11, 2027. The Financial Conduct Authority and the industry taskforce have been urging firms to prepare ahead of the transition and not underestimate its costs.  Statement follows....
