Former John Lewis chairman, banker, BOE official to join UK Treasury's board

( August 13, 2025, 09:01 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The UK's finance ministry has appointed three new non-executive directors to its board, including Charlie Mayfield, a former chairman at retailer John Lewis, former banker Edward Twiddy, and Jenny Scott, a former executive director of communications at the Bank of England. "They will use their business expertise and experience to help the Treasury run as efficiently as possible, ensuring it effectively supports economic growth, the government’s number one mission," the ministry said in a statement.
