Final rules released for UK capital-raising reforms

( July 14, 2025, 23:02 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Final rules for the UK's new public offer platform regime and new rules for prospectus have been published. Both reforms attempt to ease red tape in the UK's capital markets by making it easier for businesses to raise capital. The Financial Conduct Authority reforms include allowing companies already listed not to publish lengthy prospectuses to issue more shares in most cases and allowing firms to issue corporate bonds to retail investors more easily. The FCA’s new public offer platform also aims to help smaller growth companies raise cash to scale up. “Stripped back rules will make it easier for companies to raise the money they need to grow,” the FCA said in a statement.  Policy statements are attached....
