EU financial firms urged to automate post-trade operations in view of 2027 T+1 shift

( June 30, 2025, 18:50 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: EU financial firms have been urged to automate their post-trade operations in view of the bloc's move to a one-day trade settlement cycle, or T+1. "With T+1, the window between trade execution and settlement is significantly reduced, putting considerable additional pressure on operational timelines. Improving automation in key processes is essential," the taskforce, headed by former Italian Banking Association chief Giovanni Sabatini, said in the report. The report includes a set of non-legally binding recommendations to support firms’ preparations and budget allocations ahead of the move.Statement and report are attached....
