ESMA opens EU equity consolidated tape applications

( June 20, 2025, 13:52 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: European entities wishing to become the first consolidated tape provider for equities data can now apply to the European Securities and Markets Authority. The equity consolidated tape will serve as the common repository bringing together pre-trade and post-trade data on shares and exchange-traded funds. The EU is also working to set up a consolidated tape for bonds and derivatives data. Applications for the equity one will close on July 25. ESMA plans to appoint a provider by the end of this year.Statement is follows....
