‘Potential redress’ sought by UK FCA following retirement advice review

( June 11, 2025, 09:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A review into the provision of UK retirement advice has led to the Financial Conduct Authority seeking “corrective actions including the provision of potential redress.” The FCA’s review of 28 providers of retirement income advice found some that weren't obtaining sufficient information on clients’ financial situations. It also found others that weren't frequently assessing attitude to risk, or were only modeling cashflow in line with average life expectancy — thereby risking foreseeable harm. Statement below....
