UK retains lead for foreign investment in financial services in Europe, EY says

( June 9, 2025, 15:41 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The UK retained its lead as the most attractive location in Europe for foreign direct investment in financial services in 2024, a survey by EY showed today. Although the UK recorded a 32 percent year-on-year decline in project numbers, it still attracted 73 financial services projects in 2024, more than second-placed Germany and third-placed France combined. "But competition is fierce, and while the UK industry is a clear leader, we cannot ignore the fact that investment levels have declined over the last year," said Martina Keane, EY UK and Ireland financial services managing partner.Statement is attached....
