Delay to Basel III bank capital rules to 2027 gains support from EU governments

The European Commission has consulted on the way forward, reacting to delayed implementation of the rules in the US and UK, and will make a decision in June. If a new timeline is the option chosen, it will need to go through a formal legislative process.
