First compromise text on ‘omnibus’ simplification law presented

( April 17, 2025, 09:40 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: EU countries have taken a step forward on the first “omnibus” simplification law covering sustainability and due-diligence reporting duties, with the presentation of a compromise text. Poland, which is currently chairing EU member states' talks on the law, submitted a document revising the European Commission’s original proposal. The draft introduces tweaks to corporate obligations and limits on penalties for breaches of the law. The proposal now awaits review by EU member states, and may undergo further changes.Full document attached....
