New sanctions enforcement processes consulted on by UK finance ministry

( July 22, 2025, 15:28 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Changes to the Office of Financial Sanctions Implementations, aimed at making civil enforcement processes quicker and easier to resolve, have been outlined in a consultation by the UK’s finance ministry. The proposed changes would provide more guidance on how OFSI assesses cases, introduce a settlement scheme for financial penalty cases, and introduce an early account scheme to allow the subject of a probe to provide a comprehensive account as early as possible. The changes do not affect criminal enforcement of financial sanctions breaches.Document attached. ...
