UK tribunal backs FCA decision to ban and fine two financial advisers

( May 30, 2025, 15:59 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The UK Upper Tribunal has upheld the Financial Conduct Authority's decision to ban two financial advisers — Toni Fox and David Brian Price — from working in financial services. The tribunal also confirmed that the two will have to pay 567,584 pounds and 465,415 pounds respectively. The decision comes after the watchdog found that Fox and Price had designed and operated a flawed advice model designed to lead to a pension transfer. "The Tribunal’s ruling confirms that both individuals are unfit for roles in regulated firms. Their reckless actions fell far below the expected standards in financial services," said Therese Chambers, FCA executive director of enforcement and market oversight. Statements are attached....
