Credit Suisse breached US plea deal, hid accounts; subsidiary to pay $510 million

( May 5, 2025, 21:10 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Credit Suisse Services AG has pleaded guilty for conspiring to hide more than $4 billion from the IRS in at least 475 offshore accounts, the US Department of Justice said. In addition to the plea, Credit Suisse Services AG entered into a non-prosecution agreement with the Justice Department’s Tax Division and US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia in connection with US Accounts booked at a subsidiary based in Singapore. Credit Suisse AG breached its May 2014 plea agreement with the United States, and Credit Suisse Services AG will pay a total of $510,608,909 in penalties, restitution, forfeiture and fines, prosecutors said.Statement follows below:...
