EU adopts 21st Russia sanctions package targeting banks, crypto and energy revenues

( July 23, 2026, 15:58 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The EU has adopted its 21st sanctions package against Russia, freezing the automatic review of the Russian oil price cap until July 2027 and expanding measures targeting Moscow's energy revenues. The package adds 41 shadow-fleet vessels, sanctions oil refineries in Russia and Belarus, and introduces new restrictions on LNG tankers.
