EU’s 18th sanctions package against Russia set to get national leaders’ approval (update*)

The package, which was presented by the European Commission on June 10, will further lower the EU oil price cap to $45 per barrel, and will target Russia’s Nord Stream 1 and 2 gas pipelines, along with its banking sector.The EU's 18th sanctions package against Russia will receive final approval during the European Council summit on Thursday and Friday, according to a spokesperson from the council, the legislative body that represents EU national governments....
