Digital euro services providers picked by European Central Bank

( October 3, 2025, 09:23 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The European Central Bank has chosen companies to provide key services for a possible digital euro, as part of its ongoing preparation phase. Framework agreements have been signed for five components, including fraud management, app development and secure data exchange. Providers include Feedzai, Capgemini, EquensWorldline and Giesecke+Devrient. The ECB stressed that no decision has yet been made on issuing a digital euro, which will depend on the adoption of EU legislation and a future Governing Council decision.Press release follows....
