The government said wider payment connectivity is intended to facilitate transactions and support trade, tourism, investment and access to overseas markets for smaller businesses. Indonesia's QRIS system had 65.77 million users and 44.86 million merchants as of June, with micro, small and medium-sized businesses accounting for almost 97 percent of merchants.
