With statistics due to be published for the fiscal year ending Sept. 30, Woodcock said Chair Paul Atkins “has been clear: the past approach of assessing the effectiveness of enforcement by the numbers, not the quality, of cases brought, is flawed.”“Raw case counts and the total dollar value of remedies obtained tell us little about the quality or nature of our enforcement recommendations,” he said in a recent speech*....
