Citibank fined £4.7m over London branch's Russian sanctions breaches

In total, Citibank was found to have processed 970 payments with a total value of £19.7 million. The fine is the largest so far imposed by the Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation for sanctions breaches. CitiBank has been fined £4.7 million ($6 million) by the UK’s sanctions enforcer over breaches of the country’s sanctions rules related to Russia....
