( August 27, 2026, 05:43 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Indonesia’s Financial Services Authority, or OJK, will set out its regulatory priorities for financial technology, digital financial assets and crypto assets in a 2026–2031 roadmap, as the regulator seeks to accommodate emerging technologies while strengthening consumer protection and risk controls. OJK said the framework would cover developments including artificial intelligence, asset tokenization, blockchain and crypto assets. Its supervisory approach will apply the principle of “same activity, same risk, same regulation,” requiring digital-finance businesses to meet governance, risk-management and consumer-protection standards comparable to those imposed on other financial-sector companies.
