Indonesia prepares rules for strategic commodities exchange

( August 20, 2026, 03:20 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Indonesia's Financial Services Authority, or OJK, is preparing rules and a supervisory framework for a planned mineral and strategic commodities exchange aimed at strengthening domestic price formation and addressing practices including transfer pricing and under-invoicing. In a statement Wednesday, the OJK said the exchange is intended to increase transparency in strategic mineral and commodity trading and allow Indonesia to capture greater value from resources for which domestic price formation has remained limited. The regulator has appointed a deputy commissioner to oversee development of the exchange's regulatory and supervisory framework, including governance and risk-management requirements.Statement follows (in Indonesian)....
