Comporti requires parliamentary confirmation before EU governments can formally adopt his appointment after the summer break.The designated candidates for chair of the European Securities and Markets Authority and executive director of the European Banking Authority, Carlo Comporti and Thomas Gstaedtner respectively, are due to be heard by EU lawmakers on Sept. 2 before being confirmed, according to European Parliament documents....
