By Neil Roland ( August 3, 2026, 20:58 GMT | Insight) -- US community banks seeking partnerships would be relieved of federal constraints on their release of confidential supervisory and enforcement information to other banks under a new Office of the Comptroller of the Currency proposal. The proposed rules issued today for public comment apply to “non-public OCC information”created or obtained by the agency, such as reports of examination, supervisory correspondence and information related to enforcement actions.
