UBS unit fined by US SEC for failure to file suspicious activity reports

UBSFS failed to adequately monitor its customers’ foreign currency wire transactions for possible suspicious transactions, as required by its own anti-money laundering policies and procedures because of flaws first with its legacy AML transaction monitoring system and then with its new automated AML system, the SEC said.Statement follows below.
