EU finance ministers asked to mull regulator's remit, governance in markets plan

In a note prepared for their May 5 meeting from Cyprus, which is chairing the member states' talks, the ministers were asked to weigh how broadly the European Securities and Markets Authority's remit should be defined and how to determine which entities qualify as significant for direct supervision, as well as how decision-making should be organized and balanced with national roles and expertise.Document attached....
