Vietnam, South Korea agree to deepen digital cooperation

( April 24, 2026, 09:01 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Vietnam’s Ministry of Science and Technology and South Korea's Ministry of Science and ICT signed a memorandum of understanding on digital cooperation and a framework of a master plan for cooperation in science, technology and innovation, following a state visit by South Korean President Lee Jae Myung to Vietnam from Wednesday to Friday. The two countries also launched a cross-border QR payment service and agreed to strengthen activities of the Vietnam–Korea Institute of Science and Technology, which is expected to serve as a platform for joint training programs in software development and artificial intelligence. A memorandum of understanding was signed between Vietnam's CMC Corporation and South Korea's FuriosaAI in AI solution development.    Statements follow (in Vietnamese)....
