US 401(k) managers get green light from Labor to expand to crypto, private credit

The proposed rule, which follows President Trump’s August 2025 executive order, explains steps 401(k) managers should take when considering alternative assets – typically less liquid and transparent than stocks and bonds — as part of their investment lineups.
