EU digital rulebook simplification wins ECB backing with caveats

It particularly welcomed the "Digital Omnibus" for its simplified arrangements for government-to-business and business-to-government data sharing and Data Act provisions governing the processing of personal data. But it also warned that a proposed “single-entry point” — in which companies can submit one notification to comply with multiple reporting duties for data or cybersecurity breaches — "is not effective in reducing the reporting burden for financial entities."The opinion is attached....
