UK’s draft Overseas Prudential Requirements Regime published

( February 19, 2026, 11:21 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Draft UK legislation establishing an Overseas Prudential Requirements Regime, or OPRR, which would allow the finance ministry to designate non-UK jurisdictions for the purposes of UK prudential regulation, has been published by the finance ministry and is open for feedback until Apr. 2. The Prudential Regulation Authority also published a consultation, also running to Apr. 2, proposing technical amendments to its rulebook to accommodate the new regime. Statements are attached....
