US Fed retains stress-capital buffer requirements until 2027

By Neil Roland ( February 5, 2026, 00:11 GMT | Insight) -- The US Federal Reserve voted to maintain current stress-capital buffer requirements until 2027, when new standards can be calculated based on models that take public feedback into consideration. The feedback period was also extended from Jan. 22 until Feb. 21 on a proposal to improve stress-test model and scenario transparency and accountability.
