UK’s final Basel 3.1 rules published by prudential watchdog

( January 20, 2026, 11:13 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The final UK version of the Basel 3.1 capital requirements has been published by the Prudential Regulation Authority, the regulatory arm of the Bank of England. Most rules will enter into force from January 2027, while the trading rules will begin in 2028, the regulator confirmed on Tuesday. The PRA also released the simplified capital regime for Small Domestic Deposit Takers, a capital regime for banks not deemed to be systemically important.Rules are attached....
