UK cryptoasset firms see rulebook proposals from financial watchdog

( December 16, 2025, 00:01 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The UK financial watchdog released its most significant crypto regulatory package yet on Tuesday as cryptoasset providers are set to become fully regulated in 2027. The Financial Conduct Authority published three consultations on core rules for crypto firms, including on admissions and disclosures, market abuse and prudential requirements. David Geale, executive director for payments and digital finance at the FCA, said: "Regulation is coming — and we want to get it right. We’ve listened to feedback, and now we’re setting out our proposals for the UK’s crypto regime." The consultations are open until Feb. 12.Statements are attached....
