German bank N26 ordered to put compliance monitor in place

( December 15, 2025, 16:51 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Germany's financial regulator BaFin has ordered online bank N26 to put in place a compliance monitor. BaFin cited serious shortcomings in N26's risk division and complaints management. The bank has also been ordered to halt new mortgage business in the Netherlands. N26 has previously faced sanction over its anti-money laundering controls.Statement follows (in German)....
