UK banks, insurers see updated expectations on managing climate risks

( December 3, 2025, 13:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: UK banks and insurers have received updated expectations from the Bank of England's Prudential Regulation Authority on how they should manage climate-related risks. After a 2019 policy, the prudential regulator updated expectations in response to industry calls for greater clarity. Firms must embed climate-related financial risks into governance, risk management, and scenario analyses. The policy takes effect on Wednesday, but firms have six months to review their assessments before supervisors will ask for evidence of their internal reviews and action plans. Statements are attached....
