Litigation funders set to dodge EU-wide regulatory action — for now

The European Commission appears to see no reason to intervene, and for now it will stick to monitoring the sector. But the topic remains sensitive and it could reappear on the legislative agenda in 2028, with the planned review of an EU law on group litigation.Investment funds engaging in commercial funding of lawsuits can breathe a sigh of relief as the threat of regulatory action is fading away — at least for the next few years....
