US CFTC to change enforcement procedures, commission chair says

By Neil Roland ( December 2, 2025, 00:47 GMT | Insight) -- The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission is amending its Rules of Practice to enhance the transparency of the agency’s enforcement actions, and its Rules Relating to Investigations to augment due process, acting Chair Caroline Pham said. The due process rules relate to when the agency’s enforcement unit notifies investigative targets that they may be tagged in an enforcement action, called the Wells process, said Pham, the only member of what is normally a five-member commission.The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission is amending its Rules of Practice to enhance the transparency of the agency’s enforcement actions, and its Rules Relating to Investigations to augment due process, acting Chair Caroline Pham said....
