UK updates list of systemically important financial institutions

( November 28, 2025, 12:36 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Bank of England has published its 2025 update on systemically important financial institutions. It identified HSBC, Standard Chartered, Barclays as globally systemically important, in line with last year. It also identified 13 firms as systemically important for Britain's financial system. The Prudential Regulation Authority has also set updated buffer rates for ring-fenced banks and large building societies, requiring Lloyds, NatWest, HSBC, Barclays, Santander and Nationwide to hold additional capital.Statements are attached....
