Sberbank Europe loses EU court fight over Single Resolution Board's moratorium

The lender argued that the SRB exceeded its powers when imposing the moratorium and that the subsequent resolution decisions endorsed by the European Commission should be annulled. EU judges rejected the claims, finding the SRB acted lawfully and within its mandate amid the bank’s rapid liquidity collapse after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.Judgments attached.
