Failing banks' communications in focus as EU resolution body seeks feedback

( October 17, 2025, 13:11 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The EU Single Resolution Board has opened a public consultation on operational guidance for banks over communications when they are failing or are likely to fail. The initiative is part of the SRB’s work to help banks improve crisis readiness. “Alongside communications from the public authorities, banks are expected to deploy communication strategies for robust and consistent communication to relevant stakeholders, to support the resolution strategy,” the SRB says.
